Three-year plan 2022-2024
The Three-Year Plan 2022-2024 sees Sotacarbo engaged in research activities included in the Three-Year National Electricity System Research Plan, a research programme designed to foster research and development activities in the electricity sector and improve its cost-effectiveness, safety and environmental compatibility.
The Three-Year Plan sets the priorities, objectives and resources for research and development activities of general interest for the national electricity system. The research activities, which fully benefit the users of the national electricity system, are carried out through programme agreements established by Ministero dell’Ambiente e della Sicurezza Energetica - MASE (Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security), with public entities or bodies mainly with public participation, such as RSE, ENEA, and CNR, and involve the participation of other research entities. The priority objectives identified in the three-year plan 2022-2024 are Decarbonisation and Digitisation and network evolution. The activities carried out by Sotacarbo fall under the decarbonisation objective and specifically on hydrogen and energy efficiency.
These activities are organised in two separate projects:
- ‘Project 1.3 - Integrated Hydrogen Technology Project’
- ‘Project 1.5: High-efficiency buildings for energy transition', together with a communication campaign for maximising the impact of the research.
